Kilnamanagh-Castleview Parish
Memorial Stones Inaugurated Last Sunday in Kilnamanagh-Castleview ParishThe Parish of St Kevin and St Kilian in Kilnamanagh-Castleview is delighted to announce the recent installation and inauguration of memorial stones within our two church grounds. These stones are dedicated to our deceased loved ones, creating a sacred space for remembrance and prayer within our parish community. These memorial stones address the needs of many in our parish whose loved ones are laid to rest in remote or hard-to-reach burial sites, in some cases even in other countries all over the globe. By marking dedicated memorial spaces, our parish wishes to provide a way for everyone to feel connected to those who have passed away.Fr Frank conducted a special blessing and inauguration of these memorial sites last weekend, following the Vigil and Sunday morning Mass. The ceremony was perceived as meaningful and moving by those who attended. Now open to members and friends of our parish, these sites can be visited for reflection and prayer during the regular opening hours of both churches. We invite all who wish to remember and honour their departed loved ones to use these spaces for remembrance and prayer.Image: Deacon Don Devaney, a friend of our parish, visiting our new memorial site on the grounds of St Kevin's church in Kilnamanagh. ...
